Lithuania Guide

The largest and southernmost of the Baltic nations, gregarious Lithuania is bordered by Latvia to the north and Belarus to the southeast with Poland and the Russian Federation to the southwest. Forests spread through almost thirty percent of the country, whilst rivers, streams and more than 3,000 lakes shape the land. Five national and thirty regional parks preserve this paradise for boating, fishing, hunting, bird watching or horseback riding. Lithuania's capital Vilnius boasts a Baroque Old Town that is the largest in eastern Europe and is hailed as the 'New Prague'.
