This would have been Ayia Napa's description until the 1970s, but not today, Ayia Napa is now one of the most favoured destinations on the magical island of Cyprus! While the beach is the favourite destination to soak in the sun and swim in the clear blue waters, come night time the town comes alive with a nightlife never seen before. Clubs, pubs, discos, bars, plus a plethora of restaurants... you name it and it's there. Napa's vibrant, International club scene makes it the island's capital of hedonism.

Must See
Ayia Napa is one of Cyprus' most lively and popular beach resorts home to a fantastic waterpark, a great place for an action-packed day. Head to sandy Nissi Beach, perfect for relaxing, or for the more active you will find plenty of watersports such as water-skiing and wind surfing. Napa beach is also popular. Ayia Napa harbour is an excellent place to while away the afternoon, taking in the atmosphere and soaking up the sun, whilst relaxing in one of its many tavernas. For a taste of history head to the peaceful Monastery, situated next to 'the square', Napa's main area.

If you fancy exploring Cyprus further Protaras has a great Marine Life Museum, which displays many fossils and sea life artefacts. Head to Kapp Greco on the headland and witness the delightful views over deserted bays and beaches. In Limassol there are many areas of interest including Limassol Archaeological Museum, which houses a grand collection of antiques spanning decades. In Larnaca the Church of St. Lazarus is well worth a visit.

Shopping
Shopping in Ayia Napa is a must, especially if you fancy silver jewellery, pottery and pretty Lefkara lace. It has a wide selection of shops offering anything from the typical handicrafts to designer goods.

After Dark
Ayia Napa offers a variety of cuisines, be it Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican or even Japanese. There is also plenty of local fare, fast food and good old fish and chips too if that takes your fancy! Ayia Napa comes alive at the night and is considered one of the hottest nightspots in the Med. This resort town has plenty of pubs and nightclubs, some with live bands playing a whole range of music. For something more traditional the hotels often have Greek nights with plenty of music and dance. The Square plays hosts to numerous bars and clubs offering every kind of music.
