The hotel is located at the top end of Zermatt about 15 minutes on foot from the station. Standing on the edge of the village, visitors feel almost as if they are in the countryside properLocated on the first floor, the hotel restaurant is one of the hotel's best features. It is beautifully decorated in elegant yet rustic style and there are lovely views of the Matterhorn from one side. The cuisine is simply excellentThe building is not old, but is in traditional Swiss chalet style with a wooden facade and colourful flower displays on the balconiesThe lobby is small and welcoming. There is plentiful seating in the cosy bar which is off the lobby.
